Qatar Airways Expands Operations In France

Qatar Airways, the national airline of the State of Qatar, marked a decade of flying to France’s capital city, Paris from its hub in Doha. The route to Charles De Gaulle Airport is a double-daily service.

The carrier’s newly-introduced 95th route, Nice, and second destination in France, was launched with a three-times-weekly service via Milan. The total number of flights between Qatar and France now stands at 17 a week.

The launch of flights to Nice sees Qatar Airways’ European route network grow to 21 destinations. Globally, the airline has launched 10 routes since February 2010 – Bengaluru (Bangalore), Copenhagen, Ankara, Tokyo, Barcelona, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Phuket, Hanoi and now, Nice.

Over the next five months, the airline’s growth focuses on Europe with four new destinations Budapest (January 17), Bucharest (January 17), Brussels (January 31) and Stuttgart (March 6). On April 6, Qatar Airways introduces its 100th destination – the Syrian city of Aleppo.

By 2013, Qatar Airways plans to serve 120 key business and leisure destinations worldwide with a modern fleet of 120 aircraft. Today, the airline’s fleet stands at 91 aircraft, flying to destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North and South America.
